Three years ago, with funding becoming harder and harder to maintain, Martlets Hospice took a bold step into social enterprise. It decided to use its expertise to create a new domiciliary care service for the community of Brighton & Hove.
From Monday to Friday, Care Coordinator Jenny Cheeseman makes sure all our clients are well cared for. But at the weekend she works extra hours for the Martlets Hospice@Home team.
A few weeks ago, Care Coordinator Gina’s son set off on a 26-mile trek in Folkestone and returned to challenge his mum to do the 13-mile Martlets Hospice Midnight Walk.
